Hi, I live in a hotel.

I know that it's trite to say "I've been really busy" to justify why I've been neglecting my blog, but I'll say it anyway:
I've been really busy.

The internship's going really well. I'm settling in as one of the design interns and have adjusted to the office life. I've also abandoned my previous habit of typing in lower-case. I'm currently working on a few projects for some upcoming seasons that I'm excited about, but I'm sure that it's classified information and I shouldn't discuss it. That's the realization about working for a corporation; I have to constantly be aware of my actions.
That only took two days to learn.
Fortunately, my sketchbook isn't completely wrapped in red tape:

In the last few weeks I've been introduced to some much more trendier music. Some "beats to bust rhymes to in the shower", if you will, and some side projects and collaborations from some of my old favorites.
But I've also picked up a couple classics from about a decade back/ those tracks that I used to know every word to when I was thirteen, most particularly
"Li'l Sum Sum" by Do or Die
and
"Notorious Thugs" by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony with the Notorious B.I.G
It feels great to drive around downtown with the windows rolled down reciting gangster lyrics.

Boston's gotta pretty solid line up for music venues and I've found some shows that I'd love to see:
Grails, Nadja, and Daughters next weekend at The Middle East.
Boris, MGMT, !!!, later in July.
As well as a music festival in the beginning of August out in Montreal and All Points West in Jersey the following weekend with Radiohead headlining the event.

Some of the other interns and I are going to see Stevie Wonder perform tonight, which seems really promising, despite the dreary weather outside my window.

I spent yesterday afternoon walking down Boston's infamous Newbury Street with my paycheck in my back-pocket, leaving each boutique with a rising sense of guilt and starring at the sneakers on every passerby's feet.

Christ, I'm getting more hip by the minute.
